在不耽误学员工作的前提下，DBA课程进行了专门的设计。它包括五个模块的学习：其中三个模块分别包括两天的授课；其余两个模块分别包括四天的授课，这五大模块函括了前两年的所有学习课程。其中两个四天的学习模块又分为两次两天的学习段完成。

The deivery has been specificay designed to meet the needs of participants in demanding jobs. A series of five modues, three of which ast for two-days and two for four-days, represent the taught eement over the first two years of the programme. Both four-day modues are deivered as a pair of two-day study bocks.

除以上的学习内容，学员在课程开始时要组成学习行动小组，此小组将伴随学员这三年的学习。建立学习小组的目的就是为学员之间提供一个互相支持的学习方法，每个学习小组每学期至少要有一次小组互相学习的机会。

In addition to the above, participants wi form Action earning Sets at the start of the programme which wi operate throughout the three years. Sets are intended to provide a mechanism for mutua support and wi be required to meet for a minimum of once per term.

The award of the DBA wi be on the basis of successfu competion of the six pieces of assessed work detaied in the tabe.

Nottingham Business Schoo recognise the possibiity of individuas not competing the fina thesis of 30,000 words. A appicants appy for and enro on the DBA. However, in the event of non-competion of the thesis, where a other assessment requirements have been met, participants can exit the programme with a Master of Phiosophy (MPhi).
